La misura è colma. I suoli avvelenati dalle sostanze chimiche tossiche, il modello industriale che sta soffocando la libera agricoltura su piccola scala uccidendo la biodiversità, la standardizzazione di cibi deprivati dei loro nutrienti, gli interessi enormi che guidano multinazionali e governi negando tutele ai cittadini consumatori: tutto ciò rappresenta una realtà, oggi, che sta facendo male a noi e al Pianeta.
Ma si può inveritire la rotta. E il Manifesto Food for Health, curato da Navdanya International, ha proprio lo scopo di ridare voce, speranza e avvenire a tutti coloro che già a domani vorranno vivere e improntare azioni e consumi verso un paradigma sostenibile. Anzi di più: questo Manifesto è uno strumento di mobilitazione, da subito, per rivendicare una transizione verso sistemi alimentari locali, ecologici e diversificati. Per un futuro prossimo di cui già oggi possiamo gettare le basi.
Il gruppo di lavoro di esperti della Commissione per il Futuro dell’Alimentazione e dell’Agricoltura, che ha dato vita al Manifesto Food for Health è composto da:
