Passeggiando nei boschi e attraversando i paesaggi

Passeggiando nei boschi e attraversando i paesaggi urbani, abbiamo imparato a vedere il mondo sotto i nostri piedi con occhi nuovi—scoprendo la vita nel suolo, nelle erbe spontanee e negli angoli inattesi della natura. Ogni passo è diventato esplorazione di ecosistemi visibili e nascosti, dalle radici profonde delle foreste al verde resiliente tra le pietre dei cortili.�

Utilizzando i sensi e la creatività—disegnando, raccogliendo pigmenti naturali, osservando piante spontanee—abbiamo coltivato un legame nuovo con il territorio, trasformando i paesaggi quotidiani in storie viventi. Attraverso l’esperienza diretta e l’espressione artistica, la natura non si è rivelata come semplice sfondo, ma come comunità di cui facciamo parte, che ci invita a prenderci cura, osservare e immaginare insieme.

Il progetto educativo 'Giovani Custodi di Biodiversità' è stato reso possibile grazie al contributo 8x1000 dell’Unione Induista Italiana. L’iniziativa fa parte del programma Terrae Vivae promosso da Navdanya International.

Wandering through the woods and along urban landsc

Wandering through the woods and along urban landscapes, we learned to see the world beneath our feet with new eyes—discovering the vibrant life in soils, wild herbs, and unexpected corners of nature. Each step became an exploration of ecosystems both hidden and visible, from the deep roots of ancient forests to the resilient greenery between urban stones.

By engaging our senses and creativity—drawing, collecting natural pigments, and observing spontaneous plants—we fostered deeper connections to place, turning everyday landscapes into living stories. Through hands-on experience and artistic expression, nature revealed itself not as background, but as a community we are part of, inviting us to care, observe, and imagine together.

Growing Future Stewards of the Land - kick-off of

Growing Future Stewards of the Land - kick-off of our new educational cycle!

This week marked the beginning of a new Terrae Vivae journey with the students of Istituto Agrario Salvo D’Acquisto — where together we’re discovering that farming can be more than production: it can be regeneration, and a living tool for building a more resilient future for all.

In our first participatory meeting, students shared what matters most to them — climate change, economic challenges, pollution, and reducing agricultural inputs.�One of them said it best: “For me, agroecology is the balance between agriculture and the environment.”

In the coming months, we will explore how agroecology and land stewardship can become real pathways to address those same challenges — connecting knowledge with care for the land.

Through the Terrae Vivae journey, we’re cultivating awareness, responsibility, and care — nurturing the next generation of Earth stewards ready to shape resilient territories.

Una nuova generazione di custodi della terra – è iniziato il nostro nuovo ciclo educativo!
Questa settimana è iniziato un nuovo percorso di Terrae Vivae con gli studenti dell’Istituto Agrario Salvo D’Acquisto — insieme stiamo scoprendo che l’agricoltura può essere molto più che produzione: può diventare rigenerazione, e uno strumento vivo per costruire un futuro più resiliente per tutti.

Nel nostro primo incontro partecipativo, gli studenti hanno condiviso ciò che per loro conta di più — il cambiamento climatico, le difficoltà economiche, l’inquinamento e la necessità di ridurre gli input agricoli.� Uno di loro l’ha espresso nel modo più semplice e profondo: «Per me, l’agroecologia è l’equilibrio tra agricoltura e ambiente.»

Attraverso il cammino di Terrae Vivae, coltiviamo consapevolezza, responsabilità e cura — accompagnando la prossima generazione di custodi della Terra, pronti a costruire territori resilienti.
