This year’s theme focused on preserving the interconnectedness of nature and respecting Earth’s limits. Festival participants called on policymakers to avoid corporate-led, profit-driven conservation schemes that ignore biodiversity's cultural & ecological depth.They urged policymakers to support conservation efforts led by local communities, whose generational knowledge is essential to ecological balance. Further, Navdanya international’s campaign "Biodiversity is Life, Not an Asset Class," warns against the financialization of nature, which shifts control from local communities to corporations.This profit-driven model threatens to commodify ecosystems, weakening communal ties that sustain biodiversity The Vasundhara Festival celebrated biodiversity by honoring the wisdom of those who live in deep connection with the land.
