Nadia El Hage Scialabba, an environmental scientist trained at the University of Charleston, USA, is a global leader in sustainable food systems. During her 33 years at FAO, she created and coordinated the interdisciplinary program on organic agriculture, contributing to sustainability in agriculture, forestry, and fisheries. She developed global guidelines for integrated natural resource management, sustainability protocols, and full-cost accounting methodologies. Now an international consultant, Nadia promotes transformative approaches to food ecology, advocating for regenerative systems that integrate biodiversity, climate resilience, and equitable food production.
