{"id":18413,"date":"2020-11-02T14:35:17","date_gmt":"2020-11-02T12:35:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/navdanyainternational.org\/?p=18413"},"modified":"2021-09-06T16:47:36","modified_gmt":"2021-09-06T14:47:37","slug":"in-remembrance-of-prof-marcello-buiatti","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/navdanyainternational.org\/el\/in-remembrance-of-prof-marcello-buiatti\/","title":{"rendered":"In remembrance of Prof Marcello Buiatti"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is with much sadness that we received news of the passing of Professor Marcello Buiatti.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">His lifelong commitment and contributions to justice, sustainability and peace were an inspiration to us all from the time we began working together at the first meeting of the <a href=\"\/?page_id=508\">International Commission on the Future of Food and Agriculture<\/a> in 2003, together with a group of leading activists, academics, scientists, politicians and farmers from North and South committed to building more socially and ecologically sustainable food and agriculture systems. As a leading geneticist, his deep commitment to a science of interconnectedness made him a leading voice in the environmental movement to preserve and safeguard our biodiversity.
