L'&#8221;agenda del bene&#8221; dei ricchi imprenditori globali \u2013 si tratti di beneficenza in campo sanitario, agricolo o tecnologico \u2013 nasconde una enorme concessione di potere da parte degli Stati che dovrebbero regolare questa stessa \u00e9lite di giganti della finanza, liberi cos\u00ec di &#8220;condizionare le politiche pubbliche di tutto il mondo attraverso i propri interventi filantropici&#8221;. Brevetti farmaceutici, banche dei semi, bioingegneria e gene editing sono solo alcuni degli aspetti di questa sottile colonizzazione della Terra. Le due autrici si confronteranno sulla possibilit\u00e0 di &#8220;inaugurare una nuova fase di democrazia globale, che impedisca all&#8217;avidit\u00e0 di pochi di trasformare l&#8217;abbondanza in scarsit\u00e0, il diritto in privilegio, l&#8217;interconnessione tra i viventi in sopraffazione e dominio&#8221;.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Philanthrocapitalism is the focus of the debate between environmentalist Vandana Shiva (From Greed to Care, Oneness vs the 1%: Shattering Illusions, Seed ing Freedom, Terra Viva) and economist and global health expert Nicoletta Den tico (Ricchi e buoni?). The &#8216;caring agenda&#8217; of wealthy global entrepreneurs &#8211; whether it covers health, agriculture or technology &#8211; hides an enormous concession of power by the states that are meant to regulate this same elite of financial giants, who are then free to &#8220;condition public policy around the world through their philanthropy&#8221;. Pharmaceutical patents, seed banks, bioengineering and gene editing are just some of the aspects of this subtle colonisation of the Earth.
