The Commission will be obliged to consider the request if at least one million signatures are collected in at least seven member states.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the \u201cBan glyphosate\u201dEuropean Citizens\u2019 Initiative calling for ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Revoke the authorization of glyphosate use in all member states<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Reform EU procedures for the approval of pesticides which must be based solely on independent published studies commissioned by the competent public authorities and not by manufacturing companies<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 Set required reduction targets of pesticides use in EU member countries<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is a future without pesticides possible?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A new model of agriculture that is based on ecological methods is compatible with both nutritional and environmental needs.
